Jackie Chan who starred with Mallika Sherawat in the adventure fanatsy, The Myth in 2005 seems to be on a look-out for a desi heroine to feature in one of his sequels. His upcoming film titled Skiptrace is slated to release next month. However, the film-makers are already prepped up for its sequel.
For its sequel, casting directors are looking for an actor with the right sense of both acting and action. In addition, the team was recently auditioning actresses in Mumbai. The female actress will have a crucial role to play in the sequel. Following several screen-tests, Sobhita Dhulipala and Tillotama Shome have emerged as the top contenders. Jackie Chan’s team was reportedly looking for “fresh faces with striking Indian features”.
A source revealed:
“MANY ACTRESSES HAVE BEEN AUDITIONED FOR THE PART. SOBHITA DHULIPALA (RAMAN RAGHAV) AND TILLOTAMA SHOME (QISSA) ARE AMONG THE TOP CONTENDERS FOR THIS PART. HOWEVER, THEY ARE STILL LOOKING AT OTHER OPTIONS. IN CASE SOMEONE ELSE FITS THE BILL BETTER. JACKIE BEING THE PRODUCER WILL TAKE A FINAL CALL ON THIS AFTER DISCUSSIONS WITH DIRECTOR RENNY HARLIN.”
